Profile:

Community and Social Development Committee and Chairman on the Human Resources Committee Following the General Election of Monday March 24, 2010, Mrs. Joanne Thomas entered Parliament as the Member for St. Ann's East.  Her professional background is in banking with specialization in Human Resources. She has worked in the Trinidad Branch of one of the largest Banks in the United States for over 25 years and currently works as Assistant Vice President- Human Resources in the largest Investment Company in Trinidad and Tobago. She holds a post graduate degree from the University of the West Indies.

During her Professional Career she has travelled to Training Seminars in North and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Mrs. Thomas has served as a member of Council of the San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation in the capacity as a Councillor- St. Ann’s/ Cascade/ Mon Repos West for seven (7) years and an Alderman for seven (7) years. At the Council, she was also  a Chairman.
